Welcome! I’ve been teaching music lessons for over 15 years, and I love helping students achieve their musical goals. You can read a little more about me below.
Joel Willson is a singer/songwiter, composer, and violinist. His music could be described as cinematic folk. He grew up in southern Louisiana and was heavily influenced by the New Orleans sound. After graduating from Louisiana State University with a degree in Violin Performance, he began teaching, performing, and writing original music. He most recently performed at Jazz Fest, had a song featured in the movie, Magic in Mistletoe, and was awarded a cultural grant from the Jazz and Heritage Foundation.
